About the role
Advisory Team Members are seasoned executives, entrepreneurs, educators, and community leaders who lend their judgment to JRX Academy without joining the staff full time. You meet regularly with the Head of School and executive team, review strategic plans, challenge assumptions, and open doors. With 16 seats across every component of the academy, we are building a diverse board of advisors that reflects the breadth of the JRX model.
What you'll do
- Advise the Head of School and component leads in your area of expertise
- Review strategic plans, budgets, and major initiatives before they launch
- Make introductions to partners, funders, employers, and community resources
- Attend quarterly advisory sessions and annual strategy retreats
- Serve as a visible advocate for JRX Academy in your network
What we look for
- Executive-level experience in education, operations, finance, technology, advancement, or youth development
- Track record of strategic judgment and willingness to ask hard questions
- Deep network and willingness to make meaningful connections
- Commitment to the JRX mission and availability for quarterly engagements
