Mentor interest

Offer to mentor a JRX founder.

JRX Business Mentors are real practitioners who help a young founder with customers, pricing, selling, operations and strategy — advice, not decisions. Registering interest puts you on a list a person reads. It is not an approval, it gives you no access to any young person, and every mentor is vetted, interviewed and conflict-checked first.

How mentoring works

Who approves a mentor match?

JRX staff propose a match from the vetted mentor register. The founder answers first, then the mentor — both must accept. The match is approved by the founder's parent or guardian together with the founder's Success Specialist. Either side can end a match later, with a reason recorded.

How much time does mentoring take?

About two hours a week. That covers the mentoring sessions themselves and the preparation around them. We plan against the hours a mentor can genuinely give rather than the hours we would like.

Can a mentor mentor their own child?

Yes. A parent may be their own child's Business Mentor. The family relationship is recorded as a conflict disclosure on the match so it is visible to everyone involved, and the founder's Success Specialist stays independent of the family.

For example: food service, construction, software, retail.

Be concrete. Selling, pricing, hiring, operations, partnerships, marketing.

Idea, first customers, growing, or all of it.

The mentoring commitment is about two hours a week.

We use what you write to decide whether to take your offer further, and nothing else.
