About the role
Good Souls Mentorship pairs students with steady, trustworthy adults who show up consistently. Mentors are not tutors or disciplinarians — they are companions who listen, encourage, and help students name their direction. We accept mentors continuously because every student deserves at least one adult who is unmistakably in their corner.
What you'll do
- Meet consistently with assigned mentees on an agreed schedule
- Listen first; help students set and revisit their own goals
- Attend showcases, games, or performances when you can
- Log check-ins and flag concerns to the mentorship team promptly
- Honor confidentiality and mandatory-reporting boundaries
What we look for
- Consistency over charisma — the ability to keep showing up
- Warmth, patience, and strong listening skills
- Willingness to complete mentor training and safeguarding orientation
- Background check clearance before the first meeting
