Part 1
Writing Is Thinking Made Visible
When you write, you take something invisible — an idea, an argument, a memory, a question — and make it available to another person.
That is why writing feels hard sometimes. It is not only a language task. It is a thinking task. If the thinking is unclear, the sentences will show it.
The good news: the reverse is also true. Writing helps you discover what you think. You do not have to know everything before you begin.
Clear writing begins with clear thinking. Writing also helps thinking become clear.
