Guests

Guest Speakers & Presenters

YCS aims to include a relevant guest at meetings when it adds value — and young people say what kinds of guests they want, based on the priorities they are actually working on.

No guests are confirmed yet. Guests will be listed here once youth have requested them and dates are set.

What a guest is there to do

  • Inform
  • Inspire
  • Teach
  • Connect
  • Challenge
  • Open an Opportunity

How long a guest segment runs

Roughly 15–25 minutes, including youth questions. Short enough to keep the meeting youth-led, long enough for a real exchange.

Guest categories

  • Youth Leader
  • Community Leader
  • Practitioner

What a guest visit can turn into

  • A Quest
  • An interview for the Media Network
  • A follow-up relationship
  • An opportunity for a young person

Youth request the guests

  1. An action team names what it needs to learn or who it needs to reach
  2. Youth request that kind of guest
  3. The Coordinating Council works its network to find them
  4. The guest joins a meeting for a short segment
  5. Youth follow up — often as a Quest

Suggest a guest, or offer to bring something

Young people decide who they want to hear from. Send a suggestion here and it goes to a staff queue first, then to youth to decide. Nothing you send is published.
