Quests

YCS Work Becomes Real Quests

Every priority youth take on produces real work. That work is published as Quests, so young people build skills, evidence and relationships through action they chose themselves.

The Quests YCS work generates

  • Research Quest

Finding, checking, and explaining credible information about a priority.

  • Youth Interview Quest

Asking real questions of other young people and listening well.

  • Community Data Quest

Gathering and reading local data, then turning it into something usable.

  • Outreach Quest

Inviting people in — youth, partners, neighbors, institutions.

  • Media Quest

    Reporting, filming, recording, editing, publishing.

  • Guest Speaker Follow-Up Quest

Turning one conversation into a relationship or an opportunity.

  • Community Solution Quest

Designing and testing a solution with the people affected by it.

  • Leadership Quest

Facilitating, organizing, delegating, and following through.

  • Policy / Recommendation Quest

Writing and delivering a recommendation to a decision-maker.

  • Show & Prove Quest

Documenting what happened and presenting it publicly.

What YCS Quests connect to

Digital Journal
Where Quest evidence and reflection live for each young person.
Save Time
Protected time where some YCS work can actually happen.
Project AmeriXa
Civic-learning and community-action Quests where priorities overlap.
Real Reel Talk
Broader public conversation platform that YCS voices can appear on.
YCS Media Network
Youth-led media and storytelling for every active priority.
Community Solution Teams
Where solutions get built with community partners.
Good Souls
Service and care work connected to youth priorities.
Conscious Crusader Council
Where it fits the priority and the young people involved.

YCS and Project AmeriXa stay distinct too. YCS is the youth-led organizing and action structure; Project AmeriXa is a Signature Project supplying civic-learning and community-action Quests — generational priorities, civic research, local issue mapping, intergenerational interviews, Community Solution Teams, youth recommendations, public Companioning and community data stories. Save Time provides protected time where some of this work happens; it does not replace YCS.

Real Reel Talk and the YCS Media Network stay distinct. Real Reel Talk is the broader public conversation platform. The YCS Media Network is specifically youth-led media and storytelling.
