What is YCS?

A youth-led national initiative where young people name the issues that matter to them, organize around priorities, build action teams, work with adult allies, use media, and produce visible action.

What do young people actually control?

Youth decide the Youth Agenda, the priorities, who leads, how action teams work, what media gets made, and which guests they want to hear from. Adults do not set the Youth Agenda.

Join the founding youth core, an action team, or the YCS Media Network. No polished leadership experience required.

How can an adult help without taking over?

Through the Coordinating Council: introductions, opportunities, resources, expertise, access, logistics — measured by the doors it opens, not the decisions it makes.

Show & Prove publishes approved youth priorities, action-team progress, Quest evidence, media stories, relationships, recommendations and next moves as they happen. The first entries are coming next.

What YCS is building right now

Young people have been engaged before. What is new is this structure: the Youth Agenda process, the National Leaders Council, the first youth-owned priorities and the first action teams. None of it is presented here as finished.

Leadership Beyond the Classroom

YCS extends JRX Academy’s commitment to developing conscious, capable, community-minded leaders beyond the school experience.

Through YCS, young people ages 14–36 connect across communities, develop leadership capacity, contribute their gifts, and participate in real efforts to strengthen communities and systems.
