About the role

The Chief Academic Officer designs and defends the learning engine of JRX — personalized computer-based core academics supported by live Academic Specialists, portfolio evidence, and growth data families can actually read.

What you'll do

  • Define curriculum, pacing, and mastery expectations across all grade bands
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate Academic Specialists and Success Specialists
  • Own the assessment and Visible Learning reporting cycle
  • Design professional development that raises instructional quality every term
  • Ensure academics and Quests reinforce, rather than compete with, each other

What we look for

  • Experience leading academic programs or instructional teams at scale
  • Strong grasp of adaptive/blended learning platforms and mastery-based progression
  • Demonstrated results moving student achievement
